A Video Smoke & Fire Detection system has been released by UK tech firm BiKal IP CCTV. The new Smoke & Fire Detection system is part of the company's video analytics system EyeSoft, a ip surveillance sotware package.

The software uses video fed in by network cameras and analyses the video for smoke & fire patterns alerting operators of the event in real time via a video pop-up with multi site notification as well as e-mail & sms options. The system can be provided as fixed or mobile solutions with rapid deployment and renewable energy to wireless communication options providing complete single box or bolt-on turnkey solutions.

BiKal claim the smoke & fire detection system can help save lives and limit damage by acting as an early warning system for potential hazards in wide open areas such as forests to industrial locations acting as fire alert backup system where standard fire detection systems cannot reach.

CCTV Software uses Nvidia Cuda to Boost Video Analytics

UK tech firm BiKal IP CCTV announces the integration of EyeSoft, their ip video surveillance system with Nvidia Cuda technology. The surveillance software which features intelligent video analytics offloads the high processing requirements for video analytics from the computers CPU to the GPU, the processor on the Nvidia graphics card.

The Video Analytics offload engine results in faster processing time of analytics producing faster alarm response & detection times as well as reducing hardware costs.

NVR Software EyeSoft v2.3 Released

EyeSoft v.2.3 has been released, BiKal IP CCTV's flagship NVR software. The new release introduces innovative features not found on other cctv software as well as several performance & usability enhancements. EyeSoft v2.3 is also compatible with Windows 7 & Server 2008 allowing the software to be used in standard and enterprise environments.
